I used to be about to like on the download button in myspace music and the open/save button would pop up. But now, when i click on download, it goes to a page with a quicktime player in it and i can't see any possible way to download music. Does this happen to everyone? Can i somehow still download music from myspace?

Since US has come down strictly against sharing and downloading copyrighted music, you cannot save those songs anymore. Songs from amateur garage bands can still be saved (Its all upto the uploader whether to allow saving or not)
You'll need special softwares that record online streaming music by using your sound card as recording device rather than your mic. I've listed one below.
